The Experience

Enjoy a couple of hours or more of artistic fun on your French holiday. No experience with art is necessary, it is open to beginners through experienced artists in this hands-on ‘getting in touch’ with your creative side. You may even surprise yourself.

It’s a workshop where you can explore carving, is easily learned and a great way to feel inspired to create, relax your mind and even relieve some stress.

Carving is about stripping away and one of the oldest forms of sculpture. We explore what you’d like to create, show you how to make a simple template and then the techniques to remove the layers and in the end reveal your carving.

​

Soap carving is a cheap and easy way to learn and practice the basics in the art of carving. It is also great material to use in creating templates for moving onto carving in more solid materials like wood and stone.

We have the basic materials however we know, as artists, we have our favourite materials, so feel free to bring the ones you love, including special brushes, artist travel kits, pens, journals and camera.
