Gourdon The 3rd largest town of the LOT it carries the mark of the middle ages with a fortified gate, half-timbered houses, narrow lanes twisting up to the esplanade where once the castle stood. From the top of the hill, a large circular view of the gently undulating landscape. Wander the Seneschal and Zig-Zag gardens with elements from the time of Charlemagne.	Chateau Chambert With a history that expands over 2,000 years, Chambert’s vineyard covers over 65Ha of the finest terroirs making AOC Cahors. Biodynamic harmony involves a lot more than the vines; it requires a subtle balance between all animals, flora and fauna & what better way to see it than in situe. An amazing photography, sketching & tastebud experience.	Sarlat La Caneda A 14th Century town of art and history. Superb architectural heritage & a foodies delight market. Impeccably well preserved gold stone, timber-front houses and picturesque squares & birthplace of Étienne de La Boétie, French judge, writer, & "a founder of modern political philosophy in France.
Rocamadour A Sacred City since the 1100s it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site built on 3 successive levels, both a place of legend and history where old stone houses, majestic towers & a castle keep cascade off the cliff into the Alzou Canyon. A crucial pilgrimage site on the 'Way of Saint James’.	Grottes de Cougnac Prodigious mineral vegetation up to 30,000 years old & some of the oldest figurative drawings.	Château de Marqueyssac Developed around the discovery and pleasure of nature, this is a National Historical Monument with more than 6 kilometers of sinuous, shaded paths, edged with 150 000 imaginatively hand-pruned rounded, rolling boxwoods, aged over a hundred years. These soft & romantic paths lead to the Belvedere with a balcony that unveils an exceptional panoramic view of the Dordogne valley.	Chateau Beynac A unique voyage between sky and earth to the heart of the Middle Ages. Deep inside the heart of this 12th Century fortress, the echo of the battles of the Hundred Years War continue to resonate.

The artistic reputation of Saint-Cirq Lapopie was forged over decades. Today the village on the banks of the Lot is still one of the most appreciated places in the country for artists and proves it with eleven artists settled here all year round.
